What’s Coming Up Next

I’m frantically working on my short stories, well, maybe not so frantically, but I do hope to have the collection up on Kindle by the end of February. This will be a freebie…a total of about thirty short stories, some happy, some sad, just like, no I won’t say it….but you know what I mean. I try to avoid cliches even while speaking … don’t want those creepy old saying sliding into my imperfect prose. Hope everyone has a lovely holiday season. Stroke your life, enhance your tomorrows and cherish your yesterdays, this is it folks….unless you know something I don’t.

Keeping up with Polly and Sydnee

Copies of Polly’s Wild Dance will be here on Thursday, I’ll sign and mail them out on Friday. Hopefully, you’ll have them within a few days. Depends on your mail service. Now if you lived on the island of Kythira, at this time of year, with the weather taking charge of all living things, the mail mule might not get to your house for several weeks. You do relinquish a few conveniences when you decide to live on a remote Greek island during the winter. But, hell, who needs mail when you have a wild sea, fresh fish on calm days, drink an ouzo while cuddling in a warm cozy corner of a café neon and watch two old Greeks try to kill each other because one believes the other cheated at tavli (backgammon). No worry, it’s a Jewish fight. They are each held back by another man, fists held high, voices booming, curses flying through the air and then it’s back to the game. How many years have they been recreating this scene on a daily basis you might ask? Will they really hurt each other? Sixty years someone offers. Hurt each other? Hardly, they love each other, went to grade school together, baptized each others children, each married the others sister, and the life goes on. In Greece, every day is a challenge, and a dramatic challenge at that. Did I love living there? Every second. It wasn’t paradise, no place is, but living on a Greek island is as close to paradise as I ever expect to get.

Buy Now button

If you would like a signed copy of Polly’s Wild Dance select the Buy Now button. You can purchase the book through PayPal. I’ll have my copies in about two weeks. I’ll sign, dedicate, write dirty words, whatever you desire. Thanks for sticking with me and I hope you enjoy the read. Anyone who finds more than five errors gets a prize. Haven’t figured out the prize yet, but I’ll get there.

I spent the entire hot, miserable, crazy summer editing this book and trying to train an incorrigible Bischon puppy, Molly. We start school again on Saturday. Did I really need a puppy at my age? No. And, she’s not very happy when I’m on the computer. I’ve tried to explain to her that if I’m to finish my next two books, I have to sit on this chair for hours instead of chasing her around the house. She doesn’t give a damn.

POLLY’S WILD DANCE

Up on Amazon.com and will be available on Kindle within two weeks.  You’ll also be able to order from my website in a few days.

Thanks for your patience and I hope you enjoy the book. Your comments are welcome…good, bad or indifferent.. Happy reading.

UPDATE ON POLLY’S WILD DANCE AND SHORT STORIES

Okay, okay, it’s almost ready. I could probably keep editing until the day I die at age 150, but it’s time to let the baby go. Two more weeks, and Polly’s Wild Dance will be dancing from Amazon into your hot little hands or taking its place on your sizzling Kindle or whatever digital reading device you own.

Please check this blog for further misinformation (oh, no, another edit) I mean information, frequently , but not too frequently. I’m busy working on a short story collection, a young adult novel about, who else, but Polly, and a crazy, murder mystery with three insane middle-aged ladies as the murderers; one Jewish (of course) one Italian, and an over-sexed Greek.

Then, there is the new puppy, Molly, learning to do her bizzo outside, dummy, outside. But, she’s adorable and consuming most of my time.

Check out my short story, (just click on Short Story tab above) A False Start, for a fun romp with young Polly as she tries to set her sex life on fire at Revere Beach. Oh, I know so many of you out there will remember those days at Punk’s corner as we enticed an innocent guy into doing some wiggling around with our developing bodies and libido.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Thanks for your interest and I’m hoping I’ll tickle your funny bone. Laughter is the best catalyst for what’s ailing.
